Based on 205 reviewsLokka house 落腳處 is widely appreciated for its authentic local Asian cuisine, particularly its standout pork noodle dishes and kaya toast, which many consider superior to comparable options in the region. The establishment balances a cozy dining atmosphere with both air-conditioned indoor seating and an inviting outdoor area, accommodating varying customer preferences. During peak hours, the café tends to be busy, reflecting its popularity, though efficient service helps manage wait times effectively. Patrons frequently highlight the attentive and friendly staff, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. While portion sizes are generally viewed as average and pricing reasonable, some customers note occasional inconsistencies in noodle preparation. Overall, Lokka house 落腳處 is recognized for delivering flavorful, well-prepared traditional dishes in a comfortable setting, making it a favored destination for small to medium-sized gatherings and casual meals.
We came on a weekday morning around 9.30am and the place was quite busy. We were fortunate as there was an open table, so we didn’t have to wait. There’s an air-conditioned seating area and outside seating area. Service was really excellent — the waiters were all attentive and helpful. Food and drinks came out within 10 minutes, piping hot as well. We ordered their pork noodle soup and tomyam pork noodle soup (both with their handmade noodles). Loved both of the broths — tasted light yet still flavourful. The fillings of the soup were generous too. Overall, a good place for breakfast/brunch/lunch. We would come back again to try their other dishes and hopefully can be seated inside in the air-conditioned area.
The food looks delicious with a variety of options like noodles, fried items, and refreshing drinks. Overall, a satisfying meal with okay service.
Good biz. Famous for their pork noodle. Service very good & Very efficient. Need queue some time for a seat. Overall satisfy with everything. Will come back again.
Newly opened restaurant crowded with customers at peak hours. Mostly local asian cuisine, non halal. Portion was average and was fairly priced. Good for small to medium size gathering. The environment is ideal for dining, has an indoor airconded and outdoor space. Tried the dried noodle with pork soup and char siew noodle, both are okay, except the noodle for the char siew noodle was overcooked and way too soft. Can be improved further. Keep it up.
I am excited about this place. Simple food made very well. I'm blown away by the quality and flavor of their coffee with milk, perfectly balanced and rich. But the real stars are their kaya toast and local dishes. The kaya and butter toast is a game-changer - crispy, buttery, and sweet kaya that's leagues ahead of Ah Kun and Toast Box in Singapore. Their 干捞猪仔面and 猪仔汤 is a must-try, with springy noodles, tender pork, and a flavorful broth. And the pork belly bun? It's the perfect blend of soft bun and rich, savory pork belly. If you're in Kuching, don't miss this gem. Service is great too! Would I return? Absolutely, and I can't wait to go back for more of their signature dishes.
You have to take number to be seated. Wish they could put up a sign outside on this as we mistakenly tried to get a table outside. Luckily we waited less than 10 minutes and got a table. Food choices are great and the food were served pretty fast considering they have many customers. The tom yam pork soup could taste much better as a bit salty for my liking and lack of that tangy-ness. However, very pleased with the portion of the handmade noodle, pork meat and pork balls though the fried bean curd were super salty. The signature pork noodle was great, love the soup. The fried pork bun was just so-so as lack of meat and just a piece of fried pork fat. Braised pork rice was not bad.
Lokka House is a popular spot, especially during weekends and public holidays, so be prepared to wait a while for a table. The braised pork rice is flavorful and satisfying, while the pork soup is hearty and well-balanced. A nice place to enjoy a comforting meal, though timing your visit on off-peak hours is ideal.
After a long and tiring journey with a delayed flight, we searched for a place to eat and found this café. We arrived around 3.30 pm (they close at 4.30 pm), but the staff were incredibly friendly and polite. They served us with such warmth that our tiredness instantly faded. The food was delicious, the place was cosy, and most importantly, the service was truly tip-top. Highly recommended!!!!!
